One of the benefits of Sing Now Choir is that we rehearse throughout most of the year, rather than following a traditional term-time schedule.
We have just four Rest Weeks across the year, plus a break over Christmas. This means there’s no long summer break and plenty of opportunities to keep singing, while still giving everyone a few well earned weeks to recharge.

What is a Rest Week?
A Rest Week does what it says on the tin! It’s a week without rehearsals or official choir events, giving our members and team a chance to recharge before we get back to singing.
Why do we take Rest Weeks?
A chance to recharge: Singing together is brilliant, but we also think it’s healthy to have the occasional break. Rest Weeks give everyone a chance to reset, and we often find members return feeling refreshed and ready to sing!
More consistent attendance: Our Rest Weeks are published well in advance, so members can choose to plan holidays and time away around them where possible. This helps keep attendance more consistent throughout the rest of the year.
Time to socialise: Members often organise their own informal get togethers, giving everyone a chance to catch up outside rehearsals.
When do Rest Weeks take place?
We have four scheduled Rest Weeks each year, followed by our Christmas break in December.
They generally fall around Bank Holidays, including Easter Monday, the Spring Bank Holiday and August Bank Holiday. Exact dates vary each year, so we recommend checking the latest schedule on our website or in the Members’ Area.
